"In the past decade or so, the women's magazines have taken to running home-handy-person articles suggesting that women can learn to fix things just as well as men.  These articles are apparently based on the ludicrous assumption that men know how to fix things, when in fact all they know how to do is look at things in a certain squinty-eyed manner, which their father taught them; eventually, when enough things in the home are broken, they take a job requiring them to transfer to another home."

mod_perl Logo Competition

In March 2000, we began collecting submissions for a new "mod_perl" logo to coincide with the launch of a redesigned "mod_perl" website and version 2 of the "mod_perl" software...

We received many submissions from "mod_perl" users and graphic artists all over the world.

On the week ending 11 March, 2000, we presented all submissions via a voting booth so that the "mod_perl" community could democratically choose their new logo. And, on the 12th March, the winning logo was presented to the world.

The winning logo was designed by Michael Demers and is presented below.

All submissions can be reviewed by selecting the appropriate image gallery from the links on the left.
